Introduction
Dear Traveler: thank you for choosing us to perform this Tour! We hope you enjoy your trip.
Here we give you a guidance on their tour with the information that we believe may be of your interest. The information is indicative, may exist variations on designated hours.
TRANSFER from the airport, if you have it included or purchasing. Our transfer will be waiting for you with a poster on behalf of Europamundo or its name to the output of the custom (after collecting your luggage)..
Remember to inform us by phone if you lost your connection flight or expected delay of their arrival, in your VOUCHER figure the phone of the transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you had additional nights upon arrival the hotel will have your reservation, but his travel guide normally will not be until the night before the start of the tour.
Reception. Transfer to hotel and free time. You will receive information about the start of the circuit during the afternoon, or you can check the informative panels in the hotel reception area.
IMPORTANT - IF YOU REQUESTED ADDITIONAL NIGHTS on arrival at the hotel you will have your booking made but the guide of your trip will normally not arrive until the start of the included activities. YOUR TIME BEFORE THIS MOMENT IS THEREFORE FREE. At your hotel they can help you with all the information you need.
NB: The schedules you will find in this itinerary are approximate. The guide, depending on the situation and in order to improve the development of the circuit, may adjust the schedules.
After the visit, transfer to the district of Montmartre . Time to stroll and have lunch in the bohemian district of Montmartre with its little restaurants and street artists.
14.00hrs - After lunch, return to the hotel stopping by the Louvre Museum for those who want to stay in the city centre. We suggest a visit to the museum (our guide will give you the option of a guided tour of the inside of the museum).
At the end of this busy day, the guide will offer the optional visit to a typical Cabaret or a variety show such as the Moulin Rouge or the Paradis Latin.
07:30 hrs Paris –departure. The departure time may vary depending on the hotels where the travellers have to be collected. We leave for Normandy, our route following the course of the river Seine.
09:30 hrs - Giverny –Arrival-. We include tickets to the house of Monet with its very beautiful gardens, and where we will talk about French Impressionist art.
11.00hrs - Giverny –Departure-.
12.00 hrs Rouen – Arrival. Time to see the Gothic cathedral, to stroll around its mediaeval streets and have lunch
14:30 hrs - Rouen –Departure-. We continue on our way through Normandy. Pleasant countryside.
16:45 hrs - Arromanches –Arrival-. We are on the beaches where the British troops landed in the Second World War.
18:15 hrs - Arromanches –Departure-.
19.00hrs – Caen – Arrival. Time for a stroll in the centre.
Note: from November to March Monet´s house is closed to visitors, therefore there will be no stop in Giverny.
Countryside: Beautiful hilly countryside and a spectacular arrival at Mont. Saint Michel
08.00hrs – Caen – departure. – We continue through Normandy.
09:45 hrs – Mont St. Michel – We reach the “Marvel”, surrounded by the ocean. Don’t miss a stroll through its narrow streets and a visit to its Abbey, sometimes turned into an island surrounded by the ocean.
NB: Bus traffic is regulated and parking is away from the town, with access to it on buses from the car park itself.
12:30 hrs – Mont St. Michel – departure. We go on to French Brittany.
13:15 hrs – St. Malo. A seaside city surrounded by impressive walls and with an active and beautiful port. Time for a stroll and for lunch
15:15hrs – St. Malo – departure.
15:45 hrs – Dinan – Arrival, time in this pretty mediaeval village.
17.00hrs – Dinan –departure. We travel through inland Brittany.
18.00 hrs – Rennes. - Accommodation and time in the capital of Brittany. We suggest a stroll around its monumental historic centre.
08.00 h.- Rennes –Departure-
10.00 h.- Angers.- Time in the city on the banks of the Loire. Those who wish to do so can visit the castle, which has an interesting tapestry of the Apocalypse.
11:45 h – Angers – Departure, continuing our route through peaceful countryside.
13.45 h.- Tours – Arrival-. Tours is the capital of the region. Visitors can walk through its historical centre next to the Loire. Time to have lunch.
15.30 h. - Tours –Departure-.
16.00 h.- Villandry. Includes admission to the gardens of this enormous palace. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful gardens in France.
17.30 h. - Villandry –Departure-.
18.15 h.- Amboise – Arrival at this pretty town, set in the Loire Valley. Supper and accommodation included.
Countryside: The River Loire scattered with beautiful villages and castles marks our route. Have your cameras ready, we will pass alongside the River Loire and see some castles along the way.
We will see the Loire region in a little more depth. In the morning, a stroll in Amboise, to the castle of Clos Luce where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last 3 years before his death (entrance not included).
10:30 hrs – Amboise. – Departure.
10:45 hrs – Chenonceau –Arrival. Many believe this is the most beautiful castle on the Loire, in the form of a bridge over the river Cher, a tributary of the Loire. Its interior is also magnificently preserved. Tickets included.
12:15 hrs – Chenonceau –departure. We continue along pretty local roads to Chambord.
13:15 hrs – Chambord –Arrival. Time to see the park of this immense castle on the Loire and for lunch.
15:30 hrs – Chambord. - Departure. We travel towards the centre of France, going through picturesque villages on our way.
17:30 hrs- Argenton sur Creuse –Arrival-. A stroll in this charming mediaeval town on the banks of the river Creuse.
18:30 hrs - Argenton –Departure-.
19:45 hrs - Limoges –Arrival to this city known for its porcelain-. We recommend a stroll around the Cathedral district.
Countryside: Small roads, mediaeval villages. Very beautiful scenery of the Dordogne Valley. We recommend comfortable footwear (visit to the caves).
18.00 hrs - Limoges –Departure-. We go on our way to the Dordgne region, pretty hillside scenery and charming villages on our way. –
09.15 hrs- Lascaux, we will include admission to the museum and replica of the caves , where we will learn about the site’s prehistory with the magnificent cave paintings.
11.15hrs.- Lascaux. Departure-.
13.00 hrs.- Sarlat – Time in this World Heritage town. The Renaissance historic centre is magnificently well preserved. Time for lunch and a stroll.
15.15 hrs – Sarlat – departure. Pleasant scenery and vineyards en route.
15.30 hrs.- – Beynac – We include tickets to this magnificently well preserved mediaeval castle. You will admire the views of the Dordogne Valley and we will hear more about life in the Middle Ages.
16:30 hrs - Beynac –Departure-.
18.00 hrs – Rocamadour - Arrival. - We are in an important sanctuary town overlooked by its castle, considered one of the most beautiful towns in France. Don’t miss a stroll around its charming streets and we suggest a walk down the via crucis and coming back up in the lift. Our guide will accompany you to the entrance to the mediaeval village before giving you your rooms in the hotel. Dinner included.
08:30 hrs - Rocamadour –Departure-. Beautiful countryside of the Dordogne.
09.00hrs - Padirac Cave. - Considered the most impressive caves in France. We include tickets and a visit to these impressive caves, 3 lifts will take us to an underground river that we will see in a boat. NB: The caves may be closed from November or in certain weather conditions. -
11.15 hrs- Padirac- Departure.-
12.00 hrs- Collonge la Rouge. - A small village full of charm built with red stone on the Way of St James. Time for lunch and to take a stroll.
14:30 hrs - Collonge la Rouge –Departure-.
17.00 hrs - Saint Emilion. This beautiful mediaeval village has based its wealth for more than 2000 years on its winemaking. Interesting stroll where the wine culture blends with the stones of the place.
18:00 hrs - St. Emilion –departure.
19:00 hrs – Bordeaux – Arrival, accommodation. We recommend a stroll around the classic centre of this city on the banks of the River Garonne.
Countryside: Pleasant vineyard scenery.
The entire centre of Bordeaux has been declared a world heritage site. You will be amazed by the “water mirror” and stroll through the old town with its pedestrian streets and 11th century cathedral. We will include admission (free visit with audio information in Spanish, French or English) to the CITE DU VIN, an impressive interactive museum that recounts the history of the wine and its production; wine tasting included at the viewpoint over Bordeaux. You will have free time later to stroll and have lunch on the banks of the Garonne River, an area full of small restaurants.
14:30 hrs Departure from Bordeaux. We venture into the wine producing region of Bordeaux. 18.00 hrs - Lourdes –Arrival-. Time to visit the Sanctuary. We recommend you attend the candle procession, which normally takes place at 9 PM from the end of March to late October. Dinner included.
Countryside: Pyrenees mountain range. Snow-covered high peaks through a large part of the year.
08.30 hrs – Lourdes –Departure–.
09:30 hrs - San Bertran de Cominges. - A very pretty village at the foot of the Pyrenees, already existing in Roman times. Time to stroll and see its historic heritage.
11.00 hrs - San Bertran de Cominges –Departure-. Passage through the metropolis of Toulouse.
13:30hrs – Carcassonne – Arrival at the “cité”, the mediaeval walled city. Time for lunch and to see this beautiful city.
16.00 hrs – Carcassonne –Departure. – We travel to Andorra, a small independent country of the Pyrenees between Spain and France. Impressive high mountain scenery with summits often covered with snow.
19.15 hrs – Andorra– Arrival. Free time. Dinner included.
Countryside: Pretty mountain scenery. Huge scenery around the monastery of Montserrat.
WARNING: Have your passport to hand, as there are sometimes border checks.
Free morning in Andorra. You can visit this modern city amidst the mountains or go shopping in its large shopping centres with low taxes. - Time for lunch.
14.00 hrs - Andorra –Departure-. Entry in Catalonia. We go to the beautiful area where the Benedictine Abbey stands.
16:15 hrs - Arrival at the foot of Montserrat Mountain. We get to the monastery on a rack train (tickets included) , impressive views on the way up.
16:45 hrs - Monastery of Montserrat –Arrival-. Time to admire the views and visit the sanctuary of the Virgin of Montserrat, patron saint of Catalonia
18:30 hrs - Montserrat –Departure- (by bus).
19.30 hrs - Barcelona –Arrival-. Accommodation.
09:00 hrs – Por la mañana realizamos una visita panorámica con nuestro guía o guía local de la Ciudad Condal, una de las grandes ciudades europeas afamadas por Gaudí y su arquitectura modernista. Esta visita transcurre por el monumento a Colón, Plaza de Cataluña, Paseo de Gracia, Diagonal, Sagrada Familia, Montjuich con instalaciones olímpicas y Plaza de España. En la Sagrada Familia efectuaremos una parada para poder ver este monumento. La visita finaliza en la zona de Ramblas para que los participantes puedan caminar por el centro histórico-barrio gótico. Tarde libre.
Por la noche incluimos un traslado para asistir al espectáculo de la Fuente Mágica de Montjuich , con sus ritmos de luz, colores, agua y música. Podrá también aprovechar para cenar por la zona.
Nota : en caso de tener el traslado a la Fuente Mágica un día que por mantenimiento o cualquier otra razón el espectáculo no se realice, el traslado nocturno se dará al Maremagnum, vanguardista centro de ocio y restaurantes junto al mar y la Plaza Colón.
Note: Remember that check-out time is usually at 10.00 hrs. In most cases, you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception at check-out time so you can enjoy the city and pick it up at the time you require that same day. If you need more time to use your room, please consider booking an additional night at the end of your tour.
