Here we give you a guidance on their tour with the information that we believe may be of your interest. The information is indicative, may exist variations on designated hours.
TRANSFER from the airport, if you have it included or purchasing. Our transfer will be waiting for you with a poster on behalf of Europamundo or its name to the output of the custom (after collecting your luggage)..
Remember to inform us by phone if you lost your connection flight or expected delay of their arrival, in your VOUCHER figure the phone of the transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you had additional nights upon arrival the hotel will have your reservation, but his travel guide normally will not be until the night before the start of the tour.
Scenery : Attractive Mediterranean landscapes. Very beautiful countryside in the Delphi region.
08:00 hrs - Kalabaka –Departure-. Journey through Thessaly towards central Greece. Spectacular countryside above the sea on arrival in Delphi.
12.00 hrs - Delphi –Arrival-. Time to visit the beautiful archaeological site that dominates the Gulf of Corinth, a place that abounds with magic. Time for lunch.
15:00 hrs - Delphi –Departure-. Journey through the mountains, Mount Parnassus dominates the landscape.
18.15 hrs Athens –Arrival.
We will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city with a local guide which includes the Presidential Palace, the Panathinaikos stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held, the national library, the bustling squares of the center; the new neighborhoods that emerged after the 2004 Olympic games. The tour will end at the Acropolis site (entry not included).
In the evening we include a transfer to the area of PLAKA, a place full of small Greek taverns where you can also enjoy this country´s folklore.
Countryside: Very pretty scenery with the sea in the background. Mountains of the interior of the Peloponnese.
NB: We suggest comfortable footwear to see the archaeological complexes. It is also recommendable to take sun protection and a bottle of water in the hotter months.
09.00 hrs - Athens -departure.
10:30 hrs Corinth Canal - A short stop to photograph this millenary work.
11.00 hrs - Acrocorinth . Arrival at this immense mediaeval fortress alongside the ancient city of Corinth. At the top of the settlement of what was one of the largest Acropolis of ancient Greece are the foundations of what was formerly a temple to Aphrodite.
12.00 hrs - Acrocorinth. Departure.
13.00 hrs Mycenae. - Arrival at the colossal eighteenth century BC citadel, the cradle of the first European civilisation (tickets not included). Time to visit and for lunch
15:30 hrs -Mycenae. Departure.
16:30 hrs Tripoli. A stop to stroll in the provincial capital of this region that produces excellent wines.
17:30 hrs Tripoli. Departure.
19:30 hrs Olympia – Arrival, accommodation and dinner included.
Note: This evening involves an overnight journey. We recommend that you pack a small travel bag containing the items that you will need for the crossing. The suitcases will remain in the luggage compartment of the coach. Please have your passport to hand as it is often requested for embarkation.
Visit the archaeological site of Olympia In the company of a local guide. You will be able to visit the museum and archaeological site (guided visit; entry ticket to the complex is not included), which was the cradle of the Olympic Games in ancient times.
12.30hrs- Leaving Olimpia, we continue along the route to Patras .
14.00hrs- Patras . Arrival to the third largest city in Greece. There is time to wander through its lively centre, full of commercial activity and have lunch.
15.30hrs-Departure. We take a beautiful suspension bridge over the Gulf of Corinth and travel to the north of Greece. Pleasant landscapes on our route.-
17.15 hrs- Amfilochia- short stop in this coastal city.
18.15 hrs.- Amfilochia. Departure.
19.15 hrs- Arta- short stop to see the Roman bridge of the city of Epirus.
19.45 hrs.- Arta. Departure.
21.15 hrs.- Igumenitsa . Arrival, free time for dinner before boarding our ferry. Accommodation in double interior cabins with private bathroom. Remember, breakfast is not included during the trip.
Note :The ferry used, which is the only one available, leaves at one in the morning, but boarding is not usually possible until after midnight. Sometimes due to late arrival, the ferry might be delayed. It is a simple ferry (double cabins with private bathroom). Occasionally, due to weather conditions, vessel inspection or shedule changes, strikes, fully booked ferryboats or other reasons, we are forced to adapt the schedules of the following day itinerary according to the berthing time of the ship or fly from Athens to Rome, in which case the visits to Amfilochia and Arta are cancelled and a Sunday visit to Naples and Pompeii is included.
Early morning arrival in Brindisi or Bari.
08:30 hrs- (approximately, depending on the disembarkation time) Brindisi (or Bari)– Departure. We are now in the south of Italy, in the region of Puglia.
10:00 hrs -Trani –Arrival-. Small, picturesque city on the seashore, with its fishing port, its ancient cathedral and streets that teem with life. Time to wander round.
12:00 hrs - Trani –Departure-. We cross the south of Italy through the Apennines. Stop en route to have lunch.
15:30 hrs - Naples –Arrival. Time for a coffee and a walk round the capital of southern Italy.
17:30 hrs - Naples –Departure. We travel back to Rome.
20:15 hrs –Rome –Arrival.
The morning starts with an early interesting city tour of the “Eternal City”, in which we will visit the Caracalla Baths, Venice Square, Circo Massimo, the Capitoline Hill and St. John Lateran. We enter the tiny state of the Vatican. The Vatican City is a principal centre of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica. Admission to the Coliseum included . This building, which dates from the first century, was built for the purpose of organising entertainment for the Romans, such as gladiator combats. We have the chance to learn about the ancient society of the Roman Empire.
18:30 h. Transfer to Via Cavour , which has many local restaurants and others that serve international cuisine, including Indian and Chinese. Return to hotel.
Scenery : Apennine Mountains and Tuscan vineyards.
Note: We recommend you wear comfortable shoes as the tour of Florence involves walking.
08:00h Rome – Departure, passing through the Tiber Valley.
12:15h Florence – Our first contact with the Renaissance city is Piazzale Michelangelo, a viewpoint with marvellous views of the city. Don’t forget to take your camera!
Walking tour with local guide, lasting two and a half hours. We visit the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vechio, Straw Market, Piazza Republica, Palacio Vecchio. Free afternoon to explore and visit the city’s historical markets and museums.
The city has many restaurants that offer a wide variety of local and international food, where you can dine. Return to hotel.
Scenery: we cross the Apennines and the Po Valley.
08.15h Florencia – Departure, passing through mountain scenery.
12:00 h Venice – Arrival at Tronchetto Gate where we take the boat and cross the Giudecca to the Island of Venice. Comprehensive tour with a local guide to St. Mark’s Square and the interior of St. Mark’s Basilica (admission included). Visit to the Murano Glass Factory where we will see a demonstration of how this ancient glass is made. Free afternoon.
19:00h Return to firm land and transfer to hotel. Accommodation in the Mestre district.
Scenery: we head for the Alps, with their mountains, lakes and valleys.
Note: The currency of Switzerland is the Swiss Franc. We cross the Swiss border. Don’t forget to have your passports ready.
07.30 h. Venice – Departure, crossing the Po Valley.
09:15 h. Verona – The Romeo and Juliet’s city, the “city of lovers”. We will provide a shuttle from parking to the historic centre. Our guide will tell you the best way to visit this city, which has many interesting monuments: Bra Square, Roman Theatre dating from the 1st century, Erbe Square, Statue of Dante, Mediaeval Walls or the house of Juliet.
11:00 h. We continue towards Switzerland and the Alps.
14.00 hrs.- Lugano. Arrival at the capital of Ticino, the Italian canton of Switzerland an elegant cosmopolitan city on the shores of Lake Lugano. Free time to explore this quiet city and have lunch.
16.00 hrs. Lugano. Departure.
19.00 h. Zurich – Arrival at the shores of Lake Zurich and free time to explore the monumental city centre. Visitors have a choice of Indian, Chinese, Italian and other restaurants in which to dine. Return to hotel.
TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: Admire the fantastic landscapes. Cable car included to Grildelwald first. Lunch included
Note: Wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes to walk and your camera.
Note: Due to weather conditions (strong wind) or maintenance reasons, the cable car may not operate at any time. If this happens, we will provide an alternative lift to another similar place.
07.30 hrs- Zurich- departure to a spectacular stage with beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes.
10.00 hrs.- Grindelwald. Time to have a coffee in this mountain resort in the Bernese Alps before taking the cable car to Grindelwald First (ticket included), the largest ski center in the region. We will walk along the path (30 minutes) i n which we will have the opportunity in breathtaking alpine landscapes to take the "footbridge over the emptiness" enjoying the glaciers that surround us; Lunch included f or all passengers (vegetarian option available).
13.45 hrs- Grindelwald departure. We continue to Lucerne.
15.30 hrs- Lucerne - arrival in time to explore one of the most interesting Swiss cities and see the KapellBrück, covered bridge over the river Reuss, the Town Hall and Square with its Clock Tower and its pedestrian streets and elegant shops. Time to stroll, enjoy the city and dine before returning to the hotel in Zurich.
19:00 h. Return to Zurich.
20.00 h. -Zurich - Zurich.
Scenery: Lakes and mountains in Switzerland. Note: We enter France, remember to have your passport ready.
07.30 h. - Zurich – Departure.
09:00 h. – Bern – Arrival -. Free time in the Swiss capital which has an attractive historical centre with the appearance of a “large village”. We will visit the Federal Council Square, the Cathedral and the Clock Tower, and see the city’s statues and fountains.
12.00 h. - Bern - Departure-. View of Neuchatel Lake. We cross the Free Country amidst beautiful scenery. After crossing the French border we will stop for lunch in a service area.
21.00 h. -Paris - Arrival.
09:00h Comprehensive tour of Paris with a local guide, visiting the Champs Elysees, Arch of Triumph, Concorde Square, Latin Quarter, Luxembourg Palace, Garnier Opera House, Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Town Hall of Paris, Eiffel Tower, etc. Includes admission to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower in the lift.
The visit is followed by a spectacular cruise on the river Seine which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.
At sunset enjoy the evening transfer to “Quartier Latin ”, a very picturesque area of the historic centre where a wide variety of international cuisines await you. Return to hotel.
Note: Because of the tourist attraction of the Tower, there may be important queues at the time of your access. In order to minimize the problem, in some occasions, the ascent to the Eiffel Tower can be given at another time of your stay in Paris.
Scenery: Extensive plains of northen France. Rouen.
08.30 hrs.- We go to the centre of Paris , the area of the Louvre Museum. Free time to stroll in the city. If you wish, we can accompany you to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known perfumeries in Paris.
18.00 hrs.- Paris –we will leave for Rouen.-
20.15 hrs.- Rouen –Arrival to this beautiful city museum with its houses with half-timbered walls, narrow streets and gothic churches.
Accommodation in the city.
Scenery: interesting ferry crossing, green hills in England. Stroll alongside Tower Bridge.
Note: Remember to have your Passport ready, you will need it to cross the British border. -We recommend wearing warm clothing during the crossing. -It is necessary to set your watch back one hour when entering the UK. - The UK currency is the Pound; we recommend you change your currency on the ferry.
Rouen. After breakfast, we have free time to take a stroll in the centre of Rouen to admire its magnificent cathedral and photograph the ancient streets of the historic centre (transfer at 08.15 hrs if the hotel is not located near the centre).
10.00 hrs- Rouen. Departure, we travel to the north of France.
13.00 h. Arrival to the port of Calai s where we take the ferry to the UK followed by customs and border formalities. The ferry crossing takes one hour and a half. The ferry is modern and equipped with all commodities (restaurants, bars, areas in which to relax, games rooms, foreign exchange facilitles, shops...).
14.45 h. (15.45 hrs in France): Dover –On arrival, we disembark and then set out for Canterbury.
15.30 hrs- Canterbury- arrival. Free time to stroll around the religious capital of England with a very attractive historic centre.
17.00 hrs- Continuation to London.
18:30 h. London- On arrival in London, before going to the hotel, there will be time around Tower Bridge t o see it lip up, to see the modern buildings of the city and have dinner in one of the restaurants of the area.
20.30 hrs- Transfer to the hotel.
In the early morning, comprehensive tour with local guide, lasting two hours and a half. We will see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Trafalgar Sq., Picadilly Sqare, Oxford Street, Tower of London, Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace and the famous Changing of the Guard (depending on the time of year).
Afternoon at leisure.
18.30 h . In the evening, a stroll through Leicester Square, China Town and Soho , with its atmosphere, its theaters and its entertainment. Sit down for dinner at your preferred restaurant (Indian, Chinese, Thai, international, and so on) in the lively district. Return to hotel.
After breakfast, we will go to the British Museum, one of the main and oldest museums in the world where we can see relics from cultures all around the globe. Free time.
At lunch time, we provide transfer to Camden , a district famous for having one of the most varied and extravagant street markets in London where we can see relics from cultures all around the globe. Free afternoon.
